Arctic Monkeys Magazine Advert Conventions
As the Hoosier's magazine presence is practically non-existent as far as adverts go, I have analysed the Arctic Monkey's magazine adverts instead.
The common overall theme of their adverts are usually almost completely black and white, such as AM (Far left) and their live performance advertisement (Middle left). The mostly dull colours fit well for the album "The Jeweller's Hand", as the number 1 track is a very eerie and sombre song. This is another example of what I have said previously about how the image of an advert should represent the band or song, so that someone who is attracted to the advert will also like the music it leads them to.
A lot of adverts for albums or singles we see include the cover of the digipak somewhere in the advert. This can be seen in AM, the only alterations from the original being the band's logo, the release date and album title.
