Initial Location Ideas
We plan to have our music video take place in four different locations. As is a convention of Alternative Rock music videos, we will need an area to our band to perform the song. As our song, The Wheels Fell Off, implies the reference of cars, we are most likely going to use car garage or workshop for our band to perform.
Our main idea for the first verse of the song also involves the implication and theme of cars, but less directly. For this, we want our characters walking down a road to illustrate our lyrics. After a google search of long roads, we conveniently found a long road named Long Road, Tydd St Mary which is close to our area.
The hardest setting to find an appropriate location for will be our main character's apartment. Our requirements are fairly basic for now but any old apartment with a bed will no do. It needs to fit the atmosphere of the darker meaning to the song, which we have interpreted as an abusive relationship. This means the feel of the apartment will need to suit this unpleasantness.
Our final scene involves our characters waking up on a beach, following the revival of the pace of the song, as the tone and pace drops drastically at one point. This represents the light after the storm, so a lovely, sunny beach would be ideal. Our current beach options are Lowestoft and Hunstanton beach.
